TheSun: Tribute to Stereophonics drummer Stuart Cable

July 23, 2010 by | Posted in Press

STUART CABLE’s band KILLING FOR COMPANY are releasing a charity single in his memory.

The former STEREOPHONICS drummer, who died last month, recorded the track Former Mining Town last year.

Now his old bandmates have decided to release the song in his honour on Monday.

The band said: “To think Stu won’t be on stage with us anymore is hard, but we hope to draw some positives from this difficult time.”

The proceeds will be split between Teenage Cancer Trust and Ty Hafan, a children’s hospice in Cardiff.

Stereophonics frontman KELLY JONES added: “Stuart was our lifelong friend and brother. We’d like everyone to join us in supporting Killing For Company’s charity single.”

It’d be great to get the song up the charts for Stuart. Download it and donate at killingforcompany.com/stuart-cable.
